BACK STORY : In another universe, very similar to our own - only many, many years ahead technologically. The human race has travelled far and wide across the galaxy and come across many interesting places including Stella Crinita, the Planet of Comets.

Comet surfing has become one of the most popular extreme sports and one of the most watched programs on galactic television by any race.

The story centers on a young boy who aspires to become the universe's best Comet Surfer.

Film starts with credits of shortened back story over rolling shots of space then cuts to an extreme close up of to a the main characters eyes staring upwards. Long shot of main and friends sitting on a bench somewhere, main is staring up at sky completely zoned from the other friends who are talking. His friend gives a nudge to main char and says that they need to stop daydreaming and keep their head in the real world. Main looks disheartened and looks down at hand at a flyer for the 3023 Comet Surfing Championships follwed by a long fade to black.
